ServiceTitan is the system of record for jobs and invoices. Card payments batch to Chase ··4021 two to three business days after the daily close, so a day’s deposits won’t tie to QBO by date. Match by batch total, not by date.
The boat is personal. The truck is the business.
Ferguson and Carrier bill on monthly statements, not per invoice. Book materials to the supply clearing account (2150) off the statement; it never fully zeroes, so tie it to the latest statement at month end.
Sales tax is filed quarterly.
Owner’s personal spend runs through ··4021. Restaurant, marina, and Lululemon charges are draws, not expenses.
Installs financed through Synchrony fund net of a dealer fee. Book the fee to Financing Costs, never as a discount to revenue.
Firm-wide
Owner-to-business transfers are draws, never income.

Not the biggest, but the leanest.
Craig'sBuys materials on statement pricing and runs installs through 1099 subs, so labor flexes with the summer peak instead of sitting fixed.
SonnenscheinBooks more revenue on larger contracts, but more installs are financed, and the Synchrony dealer fees come straight out of the margin.
Tania'sCarries higher fixed overhead on the nursery, so a soft quarter shows up in the margin before it shows up anywhere else.

Bring your messiest client.
